Cleaner cut, smoother edges
Watch the movie
High quality razor blades result in cleaner cuts of flexible web material. And cleaner cuts decrease the presence of dust particles between film layers, resulting in a high quality product.
Poor slitting can leave corrugations in a cut edge. As the web is wound, these corrugations result in raised, high reel edges. When unwinding films, high reel edges cause difficulties and often render the film or foil unusable.
Using the appropriate razor blades for slitting results in layers of film that flush against each other and results in enabling higher productivity.
